It’s that time of the year to start planning to attend the ITE Toronto Section Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Christmas Luncheon again! The guest speaker will be announced shortly – stay tuned. In addition, we are excited to welcome executive members of ITE International to join us at this year’s luncheon.

To register or enquire about sponsorship opportunities, please email our Activities Coordinator, Kelsey Waugh, at Kwaugh@lea.ca.

The cost for this event, which always includes a great lunch, is $50 for ITE members, $60 for non‐members and $15 for students.

Payment can be made either online here or at the door by cash or cheque, with the cheque payable to “ITE Toronto Section”. As always, any individual who registers without paying online but does not attend will be invoiced.

Sponsorship:

An opportunity for corporate sponsorship is available at $300 during the AGM event. Each sponsor will be able to bring a Board (24” x 36”) or Roll-up Board with Banner Stand (24” to 33” x 80”) to promote its transportation services. This sponsorship goes towards supporting our student members attending the AGM at a discounted price. The sponsors will be announced during the event as well as recognized in our newsletter.

We suggest you consider carpool and transit options when planning your trip to the luncheon as parking at the club is limited.

Innovative Intersections & Interchanges 1-Day Course – Nov 16, 2016

ITE Toronto is pleased to bring you a 1-day course on Innovative Intersections & Interchanges on Wednesday November 16, 2016, to be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Toronto Airport.

Courses details are available here.

A brief description is provided below.

Innovative intersection and interchange designs have proven to provide safer travel for all road users and reduced cost for transportation agencies. Examples of such designs include: continuous flow intersections, super-streets or J-turns, median U-turn intersections (and similar concepts), and diverging diamond interchanges. Transportation agencies that are applying these innovative designs are reducing crashes and congestion with substantial cost savings and accelerated project delivery.

In this 1-day course, participants will gain an understanding of the applicability criteria, safety performance, basic design, access management, pedestrian and other key considerations of innovative intersection and interchange designs.

Course fees are $325 for ITE members and $375 for non-members. To register, please email Jiang@bagroup.com. The registration deadline is November 10, 2016.
